After any spill firstly blot up as much as you can with kitchen roll or a dry clean white cloth. Once you have absorbed as much liquid as possible use a clean wet cloth and rinse the affected area thoroughly, always work from the outside of the stain to the centre. NEVER rub, always blot.
Then (if you do not have a Cleanchoice spotting kit) dilute a small amount of washing powder or liquid with water and apply again with a clean white cloth, rinsing and blotting, repeat this process changing the water frequently.
Cleanchoice recommend that you do NOT use supermarket products such as; 1001™, Astonish™ and Vanish™. Often they can cause more problems than they solve. Whenever using any product be sure to test it on an inconspicuous corner of the carpet or fabric to test for colour fastness.
